Alius Rex

988 A.D. In the heart of Britannia, the land of Northwind has prospered under the benevolent rule of King Nigel. Though his kingdom has known war under the tutelage of his rule, he has always found a way to snatch victory out of the hand of defeat. He has been a savior to his people and a blessing to those under his charge. "God has been good", he has said. And for him, that was enough. That is, until the day of ALIUS REX, the "foreign king".

A mysterious and malevolent warlord by the name of Orlik of Mammon, has conquered the surrounding kingdoms of Britannia. This prodigious warmonger has laid waste everything that is within his sight, and no one has been able to stop him. Once bitter enemies, warring kingdoms have set aside their differences and banned together to challenge Orlik and his Mammonite armies, but to no avail. His army is vast and his power is too great.

All that stands in Orlik's way from enslaving all of Britannia is King Nigel and his Knights of Northwind. Orlik offers a deal of peace, but the cost may prove to be too high.

Will this challenge prove to be to much for this warrior-king of Northwind? Or will he finally meet his match on the Battlefield? The answer may cost the King his kingdom, his family and his faith.
